What a year this has been!   I must say it has been one of the most eventful years of my life and also one of the happiest.  Not only was I able to work with so many wonderful clients to help them create and design the wedding of their dreams, I was also able to create and design my own!   I am still amazed at what we pulled off in a short time.  It’s right in line with a motto I’ve followed for a long time - “anything is possible!”  Of course, this was not possible without the amazing vendors that I have had the pleasure to work and build relationships with over the last 4 years.  I feel blessed to be part of a group of such talented people who are always blowing me away with their creativity and talent!

May 2011 be filled with love and laughter!

One of my blog entries before we got married was about my LOVE for Etsy!  I spoke about all of the details that Etsy helped me with.  From stationary (Invitations, menus, place cards, table numbers & programs), my hairpiece,  luminaries in our names, my niece’s flower girl dress to the handkerchiefs that were hand embroidered by my Mom with all of the guests initials.  I really do heart Etsy!

I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in the 5th annual WPIC Conference in Turks & Caicos in November 2009.  Wow!  What an amazing, fabulous few days at the Beaches resort.  The conference was fun, well planned and SO inspiring. I’m not sure I’ve left a conference feeling so excited about the possibilities for my business. And, to be in a beautiful location, warm sun and white sandy beaches.  Well, I can’t say enough.

I had the opportunity to meet and hear speakers such as Joanne Brown - Owner & Managing Director of Celebrations a luxury event design company located in the Cayman Islands.  Simon & Ciara Daykin of Firefly Occasions & Rockstar Wedding Planner - awesome Canadian inspiration!  As well as the keynote speaker Sasha Souza of Sasha Souza Events.  All of their personal stories and business advice has been instrumental in the decisions and changes that I’m executing in my business right now.  It’s a very exciting time!  So, a HUGE thank-you to Danielle & Tracey of WPIC and the planning committee on a job well done.  I’m counting down the days until the next conference!
